Early autumn at Albury
On a beautifully warm early autumn afternoon the private gardens at Albury Park Estate were opened to the public as part of the NGS open day scheme. The 14 acres of gardens, created by John Evelyn in the 1670s has the Tilling Bourne running through it, a terrace 1/4 mile long, a tranquil lake stocked with trout and an impressive arboretum.
