Being in lockdown has given me time to appreciate and explore the garden as it comes to life. Warm tempertures near the mid-20s has awakened the butterflies – today alone i've seen holly blues, peacocks, orangetips, brimstone, and speckled wood. Birds are singing – blackcaps; goldcrests; robins; dunnocks; blue, great and coal tits to name a few. Jays are very active, 6 together making unexpected parrot-like sounds, and a pair of great-spotted woodpecker starting a family!
